Enclosure Pro is pretty straightforward to use and presents very few menu options that should be familiar to any effects pedal builder. Experiment for a few minutes and you’ll get the hang of it.

The Top Toolbar provides access to information about the app, some helpful Design Canvas tools, and the Project Menu.
The App Menu holds the app version number, a method for checking for updates, and developer contact info.
Use the + and - buttons or the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out of the Design Canvas.
The Rotate button can rotate the Design Canvas 90° clockwise and 90° counterclockwise.
The Project Menu defaults to “Untitled” and reflects the saved project name. If an orange asterisk (*) is next to the file name, it means that the most recent changes haven’t been saved.
The Project Menu contains the following options:
The Bottom Toolbar provides access to the enclosures, a Unit Switcher, Grid Settings, and the available components.
This menu contains a list of the most common pedal enclosure sizes. Switching enclosures will not delete components already placed on the Design Canvas.
This switches between Metric (mm) and Imperial (in) units app-wide.
Provides several grid spacing options and the option to turn the grid off.
This provides several submenus that contain common enclosure components (potentiometers, switches, LEDs, etc.). Selected components appear in the center of the enclosure.
Regular components are set to print or export to PDF by default.
There is also a selection of Footprint Guides that can be used to help with spacing your drill holes appropriately. Footprint Guides are set not to print or export to PDF by default.
The Design Canvas is where components are placed and supports drag-and-drop functionality.
If a component is selected, right-clicking will display a context menu with the following options:
To delete a selected component, click the orange trash can icon that appears at the bottom right of the Design Canvas.
Use the mouse middle-click to pan around the Design Canvas space.
Exporting a layout to PDF provides detailed header and footer information about the enclosure, as well as a calibration mark to measure and ensure that your design prints at 100% if you decide to print it.
It is recommended that you export larger enclosure formats to PDF rather than printing them directly, as printing from PDF provides many more page formatting options than printing directly from the Enclosure Pro. Always open PDFs in a PDF reader (such as Adobe Acrobat) and not in a web browser.
Printing directly from Enclosure Pro will print very minimal header and footer information on the printout (as opposed to exporting to PDF) in order to allow as much space as possible for the enclosure.
After printing the drill hole layout, follow these steps:
Enclosure Pro automatically checks for updates each time it launches.
You can also manually check at any time using App Menu → Check for Updates. If an update is available, Enclosure Pro will download it and prompt you to restart. When the app relaunches, it will open with the latest version installed.
